Explanation about Flat to my understanding the knife had nothing to do with Jack's summoning. Flat didn't use any catalyst for Jack's summoning. When you do not use a catalyst he basically forgot to incorporate the knife for a summoning you will summon an heroic servant that will reflect your personality/mentality.

If you’re unaware, Gilgamesh and Enkidu are best friends (perhaps more than friends) in the epic of Gilgamesh. That’s why they’re so excited to see each other.
Alright guys tou got some homework to do , you guys have to read tsukihime mahoyo and least 2 volumes of case files. Just kidding but yea the anime doesn't hold your hand so there are going to be a lot of references to other type moon stuff. This series is like a love letter to the fate franchise/ type moon

Jack the Ripper actually can also be summoned as an assassin so your spot on with him having some tendencies toward that.
Lee being this locked into Fate was not in my 2026 bingo cards

Random bit, I do like how you take a time to rewind here and there and show the place you are at when you do. Not everyone does that, but I think it's neat since it helps you get your thoughts out or catch things you miss which might get skipped over.

FYI there are more than 7 Classes in Fate just like she mention at 23:48 there about 5 to 6 extra Classes but not sure if they will show up in this series.
For anime only fans of Fate, the Ruler class is most well known via Fate/Apocrypha.
It's an impartial party that is automatically summoned to observe the Holy Grail Wars.
It is not the Saber class, but instead a hidden servant who is supposed to be there but rarely shows itself.
