      Sawadas backstory with her brother always gets me … i like how Miyamura becomes some kind of substitude brother for her.

      This series is so good at including some of the most common elements of a relationship (especially the first one), and yet putting some unexpected twists to them. Like: meeting her parents, reactions of everyone else around them, confession, first kiss, first rival, etc. It keeps everything to be relatable, but yet still entertaining & surprising!

      As usual, Toru is being the best wingman and supporting his friends (and Yuki too) in this episode. He's a really amazing guy! And Sawada is just adorable! ❤

      Note: The series never does explain what kind of job Hori's dad has, but you get the sense that he's usually not home very much and it appears that her mom still loves him? or maybe just tolerates his presence…. and his existence? LOL! We don't really see much of Miyamura's mom and never his dad throughout the series. Unfortunately, one of my favorite chapters of the manga never got included in either seasons of the anime. It was a chapter where in the first half, Hori is interacting with Miyamura's mom at his home, and then the second half is Miyamura interacting with Hori's mom at her home. There wasn't anything dramatic about it, but again, it was cute and completely relatable (Miyamura's mom gushed about how Hori called her "Mom"!) Being the oldest of 2 boys, I remember my own mother's excitement when I finally brought home my now-wife and she finally had another "girl" in the family.
