  1. Bro really had one if his biggest ops A Goddess mind you SEARCHING for the key to his vault to prevent him from fighting back cause she knows that even when jumping him the odds of them winning is low😂

  2. No spoilers just lore info. By the way she hates gilgamesh because he wouldn't marry her all this hatred. She sneaked him and stole the key to lock his power. We all know gilgamesh is stronger than ishtar by the lore, also the green hair character who fought gilgamesh at episode 0 is actually stronger than ishtar as well since LIFE has 5 goddess power in her jjst to show how pwoerful gilgamesh actually is, they always sneak him because of his arrogance.😅

  3. gilgamesh was supposed to be the link between humanity and the then weakened gods (since he is 2/3 gods himself) but he refused and thus ended the age of gods and ushered in the age of man
at one point ishtar the daughter of the chief god of the sumerian pantheon wanted to marry him but he refused since all her husbands met a tragic end, so the gods sent the bull of heaven as punishment for refusing her but gilgamesh and enkidu defeated it and enkidu threw the bulls' thigh on ishtar thus her father punished him by killing him (since they created him in the first place)
so yeah, now ishtar pops up out of spite to never allow gilgamesh and enkidu to truly reunite

  4. Reminder that Hydra poison is the thing that made Heracles commit sudoku in the era of myths due to the unbereable pain, he's basically melting from inside but the grail mud is keeping him going by just pure hatred

  5. Gilgamesh didn't turn to gold dust and it was his arrogance that hurt him as usual. He left that key in episode one. She closed gates of Babylon, thats how they hit him.

  6. Ishtar placed a blessing upon the world that if Enkidu and the Gilgamesh ever reunited, she will manifest again, and the only person she could really manifest in is in the homunculus because divine spirits cannot have their power at full capacity because nobody is able to handle it they need to possess someone.

  7. They cut a lot from that Saber v Gil fight. Saber lost because he was protecting the church and Ayaka. He sort of mentions it when he says "I was planning on protecting the church to the end…"

  8. They skip a major part of the light novel but basically Caster is Alexandre Dumas, the famous author of Count of Monte Cristo and the Three Musketeers. One of his Noble phantasm is called Musketeers' Masquerade: O' Musketeers, Challenge the Windmills. It is a support type Noble Phantasm which allow his target (which he choose John as his protagonist) rewriting their lives based on his experience and literary work. This time I presumed he used Edmond Dantes, the count of Monte Cristo as the basis for John because John saw the past when Dumas met Edmond Dantes. Caster might have used the famous revival scene of Edmond Dantes where everyone presumed he is dead to rewrite John fate and restore and strengthen him. If you haven't known of the Edmond Dantes, he is the main protagonist of the Count of Monte Cristo, he was falsely accused and to escape from prison, he faked his death and upon gaining strength he sought only revenge by becoming the Count of Monte Cristo. They really missed a chance to animate one of the strongest Avenger class servant. (Yes, Edmond Dantes is a servant and an Avenger class)

  9. Gilgamesh threw away the physical key because he knew that no one there could use it. Ishtar is able to use the key because she is from the same mythology as Gilgamesh, and like Enkidu, the three knew each other. And it was from the same era when Ishtar, while alive, could only partially use the key, meaning she could close the gate of Babylon or interfere with it; she couldn't do it like Gilgamesh did.

  10. Gilgamesh is the most powerful Servant in this anime; Enkidu comes in second place. In other words, to defeat Gilgamesh you'd have to be caught off guard or nerfed. Just watch Gilgamesh fighting against… Enkidu pulls out the EA and uses millions of Babylonian gates in episode 0 because he recognizes Enkidu and knows he's a worthy opponent, but at no point has he fought with everything he's got against the other Servants until now.

  11. For those unfamiliar with Fate, I'll explain… Ishtar isn't stronger than Gilgamesh; she simply lost him by surprise, interfering with the Gates of Babylon, closing them and leaving Gilgamesh vulnerable.
