My absolute most niche favorite thing is when an abridged/parody series delivers a stone-cold moment of clarity aligned with a similar scene in the source material. I know it sounds complicated, but anyone who has seen SWE's SAO abridged knows exactly what I'm talking about with the Suguha crashout. This is on that level. A raw and emotional scene that establishes how serious the parody is taking itself. Absolutely phenomenal work Grimmjack and team

I feel like Grimmjack crew really didn't want to do GS season two so they went fuck it let's scream whatever nonsence we feel like, then the ending suddenly hit like a truck.
Writing's a bit weak but the VA are 10/10

Excellent addition at the end, that monologue sounds genuine. Just a reminder from the original story, the sister was beyond salvation since the poison was all over his body, not even an antidote could save her

These just keep getting better and better and even got me to buy and read the light novels. And yeah they call noble fencer's sword aluminum in them, and you will hear him scream each time you read it.
So did the show change its animation? Because lizard priest suddenly looks kind of cute. I think it's his eyes? Point is I don't like it.
This episode perfectly captured how little I enjoyed hearing Wizard Boy speak in the original show
